Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Performance Development Leader to guide a 25+ person Woodyard Operators team at the Naheola Paper Manufacturing site in Pennington, Alabama. You will influence capability, operational excellence, and long-term performance through coaching and employee development.

You will mentor operations staff, collaborate with engineers, and drive capability improvements across the Woodyard department using Principled-Based Management and Operations Excellence tools.

Qualifications

• Experience leading people and improving team performance in a manufacturing or related environment.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or military environments.
• Ability to work extended hours, rotating weekends, and shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Principled-Based Management and capability programs.
• Develop employee performance, skills, qualifications, and capability advancement programs.
• Coach and mentor hourly employees to improve capability and performance.
• Align roles and expectations with department, mill, and organizational goals.
• Hold teams accountable for operating strategies and results.
• Develop processes and systems that promote knowledge transfer across the department.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, pulp and woodyard teams and other mill leaders to address capability gaps.
