Job summary

Georgia-Pacific, Brunswick Cellulose facility, seeks a Performance Development Leader for Utilities to drive safety-first operations and develop Shift Supervisors across all shifts. You will own daily operating plan execution, lead talent development, and partner with maintenance, reliability, EHS, and L&D to build bench strength.

You will champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensure disciplined use of the Operating System, and manage fixed costs for hourly roles while supporting

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience directly leading others to support and improve performance against individual capability gaps.
• Experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment.
• Ability to work extended hours, serve on a weekend duty team on a rotation, and lead a shift if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental excellence on every shift, ensuring production targets do not compromise safety.
• Own daily operating plan execution across all shifts with performance against production, quality, and usage targets.
• Develop and hold Shift Supervisors accountable, building their capability to lead their crews.
• Support Utilities Area Leader in developing salaried talent and building operational depth.
• Foster a shift-driven culture where front-line teams own decisions and problem solving.
• Ensure disciplined use of the Operating System, tier meetings, standard work, and structured problem solving.
• Manage personnel-related fixed costs and assist with hourly and salaried continuity planning.
• Collaborate with leaders across Maintenance, Reliability, Technical, EHS, and L&D to ensure reliable operations.
• Coordinate with other Performance Development Leaders to maintain consistency across the organization.
