Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products division seeks a Performance Leader (Production Supervisor) for our mill in Plattsburgh, New York. The Performance Leader will directly lead salaried Shift Leads who oversee unionized hourly operators, enhancing their capabilities and managing performance to deliver product system results.

You will coach and develop teams, collaborate with area and crew leaders, engineers, and reliability coordinators, and drive improvements while upholding our safety culture.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
• Experience coaching and mentoring direct reports to improve performance.
• Experience leading safety initiatives in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead salaried Shift Leads overseeing unionized hourly operators, driving product system results.
• Coach, lead, mentor, and develop employees to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance.
• Collaborate with area and crew leaders, manufacturing engineers, skill builders, and reliability coordinators to address performance gaps and implement improvements.
• Prioritize and manage safety initiatives to support a safe working environment.
• Ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety and driving team performance toward organizational objectives.
