Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Utility and Infrastructure Traffic and Open Space operations team. The role reports to the UI Operations Group Leader and oversees traffic systems, roadways, parking lots, open space, and the facility supervisor team.

The position ensures accountability for ESH&Q, Engineering and Maintenance functions and participates in the UI Duty Officer program to cover after-hours operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of traffic systems, transportation systems and/or grounds maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience with critiques, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.
• Experience in management, supervision, and HR administration of assigned staff.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical direction and oversight of UI Division activities.
• Ensure functions such as ESH&Q, Engineering, and Maintenance perform to support safe operations.
• Manage LANLSnow Removal program and participate in the UI Duty Officer program for after-hours coverage.
