Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Staff Operations Manager to lead a diverse administrative team and partner with division leadership on strategic operations. The role emphasizes governance, policy implementation, and effective decision making to advance mission objectives.

You will coordinate with HR, finance, and leadership to optimize budgets, space, and processes, driving improvement across the division and ensuring compliance and performance excellence.

• Demonstrated success leading administrative and professional staff and mentoring others.
• Advanced knowledge of managing administrative, financial, HR, planning and procurement activities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and reliable execution of complex tasks.
• Strong decision making, critical thinking, and process improvement experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of administrative and professional staff in support of division leadership.
• Partner with HR and finance to manage workforce planning, budgets and space coordination.
• Provide strategic guidance on operational, policy, and workforce matters.
• Coordinate responses to data calls and institutional requests for the division.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the division.
