Job summary

Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in Elizabethtown, KY seeks a Surgical Coordinator to ensure smooth financial and surgical communication for patients undergoing procedures. You will coordinate scheduling, educate patients pre-surgery, and liaise with facilities to align care and costs.

The role requires strong communication, an eye for detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Office hours are Mon–Fri, with some overtime as needed; benefits include health, vision, dental, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in financial counseling is preferred.
• Experience working with insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery, pre-surgery education, and communicate with facilities.
• Coordinate pre-op appointments with patient or caregiver.
• Check patient charts for insurance benefits, prepare cost summaries, counsel on finances.
• Counsel patients on Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center costs.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Other duties as assigned.
