Job summary

Azul Vision in Downtown Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Healthcare Scheduler to coordinate and schedule all aspects of patient surgeries for ophthalmology procedures in a multispecialty setting. The role includes pre-operative testing, insurance verification, obtaining pre-authorizations and scheduling post-operative visits, as well as collecting payments and maintaining patient records.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, with 3–5 years of high-level customer service

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum of high-level customer service and/or sales experience.
• Medical experience is a plus.
• College degree is preferred
• Ophthalmic certifications ABO or COA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surgical schedule for ophthalmology surgeons.
• Communicate with patients on scheduling, testing, insurance, and finances.
• Arrange pre-op testing and pre-authorizations.
• Coordinate paperwork and patient records with the registration system.
• Attend required meetings and uphold patient confidentiality.
