Northwest Eye Clinic in Maple Grove is hiring a Medical Scribe to assist ophthalmology and optometry teams by documenting patient exams in EMR and supporting accurate billing. The role emphasizes efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

The starting pay is $18.50–$21.00 per hour, with potential travel to other Northwest Eye locations as needed. Ideal candidates have strong communication, excellent typing skills, and reliable transportation to support clinic operations.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required.
• One year experience within direct patient care or as a scribe in a medical setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and high level of professionalism
• Excellent typing skills
• Reliable transportation

Mansioni

• Document patient exam in EHR, including contact lens template and orders.
• Provide patient and family counseling/education as needed.
• Dispense medication and/or samples as directed.
• Print and dispense glasses and/or contact lens prescriptions.
• Review chart notes and ensure ICD-10 compliant documentation.
• Obtain patient signature on consent documents for procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain professional appearance.
• Stay current on MIPS, HIPAA, and PHI requirements.
• Schedule returns and recalls in EPM and manage referrals.
