Job summary

Dupage Eye Associates is seeking a patient service-focused PSR for our Downers Grove ophthalmology practice. You will greet patients, verify insurance, manage appointments, and handle billing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have medical billing experience and knowledge of insurance payors, CPT/ICD-10, and strong communication skills. Training and a robust benefits package accompany a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Insurance payor knowledge, CPT and ICD10 a must.
• One or more years’ experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurances preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with NextGen, Microsoft, Clearwave preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors at check-in.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Manage appointment schedule and reminders.
• Accurately collect copays, deductibles and balances.
• Answer inbound and outbound calls with appropriate etiquette.
• Travel between locations to support front office operations.
