Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Clerical/Receptionist for the Rockford, IL area. You will handle front-desk duties, answer calls, register patients in Epic, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and support scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls and forwards to appropriate personnel.
• Registers patients in Epic and updates demographics.
• Collects co-pays and processes payments in Epic.
• Provides patient information and directions as needed.
• Maintains lobby area and supports clerical tasks as required.
