Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a clerical/ Reception position in northern Illinois, handling phone calls, front-desk duties, and Epic EMR registration. You will welcome visitors, route messages, and maintain lobby areas while ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.

Strong communication and basic medical terminology knowledge are valued. Responsibilities include scheduling and registration in Epic, collecting co-pays, and assisting patients with MyChart.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in medical reception or reception is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine caller needs and forward to appropriate personnel.
• Register patients in Epic, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays.
• Assist patients with MyChart signup and activation; respond to MyChart messages.
