Job summary

Astellas is seeking a field-based Ophthalmics Business Specialist in Austin, TX to educate eye care professionals about geographic atrophy and promote Izervay for appropriate patients. The role requires building relationships with retinal specialists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and staff, while meeting sales targets.

The candidate will develop territory plans, collaborate with regional teams, and travel as needed to support launches and ongoing sales growth.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication capabilities.
• Overnight travel of 25%-50% may be required; travel to Parsippany, NJ home office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive Izervay sales in the territory to meet or exceed quotas.
• Develop and implement territory plans to meet short- and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional field teams to engage GA treatment decision makers.
