Job summary

Astellas Pharma, Inc. is seeking a Market Development Manager for the Northeast region. This field-based role covers NY, VT, NH, NJ and ME, with hybrid options and potential state-based remote work under Flexibility Guidelines.

You will lead advocacy with key thought leaders in Retina and Ophthalmology, collaborating with Sales, Field Medical, and Marketing to drive Izervay adoption and educate customers. Travel within the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science or business-related discipline is required.
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
• Strong clinical acumen with specialty pharma/biopharma experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a plan to increase advocacy with key thought leaders in Retina, Comprehensive Ophthalmology, and Optometry for GA and Izervay.
• Represent the company in customer engagements and ophthalmology conferences, showing understanding of customer needs.
• Collect and share customer insights to inform matrix team and brand strategy.
• Demonstrate disease state and product knowledge in Retina, Ophthalmology, and Optometry interactions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Field Medical, and Reimbursement to develop strategic plans with leaders.
• Facilitate collaboration with Sales, Field Medical and Reimbursement teams to maximize opportunities with shared customers.
• Support Marketing in identifying thought leaders for speaker's bureau and peer-to-peer education.
• Establish connections with leadership of regional retina, ophthalmic and optometric societies.
• Maintain high integrity and compliance with regulations.
