Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to deliver high-quality eye care. The role links doctors with primary care functions, ensuring accurate patient records and smooth patient flow through exams.

You will perform tests, assist with exams, and maintain equipment and safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Weekend/evening support may be required at select locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of strong customer service.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to solve problems and work autonomously.
• Familiarity with exam software and optical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams; manage patient records and flow.
• Perform preliminary evaluations and collect histories; review medications.
• Conduct special tests: OCTs, biometry, topography, imaging.
• Explain measurements and answer patient questions.
• Maintain organized patient records per HIPAA and practice standards.
• Support scheduling and use of computer systems; ensure clean exam lanes.
