EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Optometric Technician to ensure patients receive high-quality vision care while efficiently linking the doctor and primary care functions. The role emphasizes accurate testing, patient handling, and support for the optometrist throughout exams.

The ideal candidate has experience in optometry or healthcare, strong communication, and a detail-oriented approach to pre-exam testing and equipment use. Weekend/evening shifts may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in optometry, ophthalmology or healthcare setting desired.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.

Responsabilités

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs various tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations including visual acuity measurements, depth and color perception tests, and retinal imaging.
• Performs tests to aid the optometrist in accurate diagnosis and treatment for the patient in appropriate time frame.
• Identifies situations involving dissatisfied patients and acts quickly for resolution.
• Maintains organized patient records in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards.
