Job summary

LensCrafters in Saint George, UT is seeking a diligent Ophthalmic Technician to deliver high-quality eye care and support doctors during exams. This full-time role focuses on patient flow, accuracy in testing, and maintaining meticulous records.

You will perform pre-examination tests, assist with eye exams, operate ophthalmic equipment, and help with scheduling while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. Weekend/evening availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Experience with exam software and ophthalmic equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including patient histories, medication lists, visual acuities, refraction, and dilations.
• Performs special testing such as OCTs, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging/photography.
• Handles and files patient records in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards.
• Maintains a safe working environment and supports scheduling procedures.
