Job summary

Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to deliver high-quality eye care and a superior patient experience by seamlessly connecting physicians with the care team.

You will assist with eye exams, manage patient records, perform pre-exam testing, and help maintain equipment and exam lanes, while upholding HIPAA and patient privacy standards. Weekend/evening shifts may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including obtaining patient histories, reviewing medications, visual acuities, motility, pupil/angle, refraction, pachymetry, tonometry, and dilation.
• Performs special testing including OCTs, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging/photography.
• Maintains safe working environment and HIPAA compliance; adapts to various examination scenarios; supports doctor and staff.
