Job summary

LensCrafters in Utah is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to ensure high-quality ophthalmic care and a seamless patient experience. You will assist with eye exams, manage records, and perform prelims and special tests under the supervision of the ophthalmologist.

The role involves handling diverse exam scenarios, maintaining equipment, and supporting scheduling while adhering to HIPAA and company standards. Flexible shifts may apply in this location.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ year of strong customer service skills.

• Ability to use ophthalmic exam software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including history, medications, acuity, motility, pupil/angle, refraction, pachymetry and tonometry.
• Performs special testing including OCT, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging.
• Explains measurements to patients and answers questions.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant records and scheduling; ensures organized workflow.
• Adheres to attendance, dress code and company policies.
• Works weekends and evenings as needed to support business needs.
