Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Tallmadge, OH seeks an enthusiastic Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists and prepare patients for exams using diagnostic equipment such as OCT, GDX, IOL Master and auto refractor. You will record patient history and vital signs, ensure accurate EMR entries, and maintain clean exam rooms.

The role emphasizes exceptional patient service, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork across the clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training; relevant coursework acceptable.
• COA/COT certification preferred but not required.
• HIPAA knowledge and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service during every encounter.
• Greet patients, document medical history and vital signs.
• Operate EMR and ensure accurate data entry.
• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and tests.
• Prepare patients for treatments and maintain rooms and supplies.
