Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support exam prep and patient care in a clinic setting. The role involves using optical equipment to conduct initial tests and prepare patients for examinations with an optometrist.

The technician will join a team focused on a world-class Total Patient Experience, with responsibilities supporting HIPAA-compliant operations and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• At least 1 year in customer/patient interactions.
• Background check results favorable; proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and medical support to patients.
• Comply with company policies and HIPAA.
• Prioritize patient and doctor time and schedules.
• Operate ophthalmic equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX/OCT).
• Follow testing scripts for equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity).
• Clean and maintain examination equipment, including tonometer tips.
• Interact professionally with all staff and patients.
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Meet schedule requirements, including possible weekends or extended hours.
