Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in providing high-quality patient care in the Beavercreek area. You will perform initial testing, manage patient flow, and document findings in the EMR under supervision.

The role requires hands-on testing (dilation, refraction, OCT, GDX, IOL Master, auto refractor, topography) and strong patient communication. Travel to nearby offices is expected; HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum required: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service in person or via phone.
• Greet patients professionally and manage flow of the clinic.
• Assist ophthalmologist and prepare patients for exams.
• Record patient data and medical history in EMR.
• Perform diagnostic tests including dilations, refraction, OCT, and visual fields.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies; clean and organize workspace.
