Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Dayton, OH is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists by performing initial testing and preparing patients for exams. The role requires excellent patient care, HIPAA compliance, and strong teamwork.

You will handle EMR data, perform tests such as visual fields, OCT, and refraction, prep rooms, and travel between our Dayton, Troy, and Beavercreek offices. A GED and 1 year of related experience are expected; COA/COT is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current COA or COT certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and manage clinic flow.
• Assist ophthalmologist with initial testing and exams.
• Record patient history and medications; confirm purpose of visit.
• Document data in EMR accurately and completely.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
