Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Beavercreek, OH is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists and perform initial testing to prepare patients for exams. You will handle patient history, vital signs, and diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, and refraction.

The role requires travel to our Springboro and North Dayton offices with mileage reimbursement. Proficiency with EMR systems and strong HIPAA compliance are essential, along with a patient‑focused, team‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients promptly with a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
  • Record patient history, medications, and visit purpose.
  • Enter data into the EMR accurately.
  • Perform diagnostic tests (dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL Master, autorefractor, topography).
  • Document visits and procedures as performed by the physician.
  • Prepare patients for treatments and record vital signs.
  • Open/close exam rooms and keep them stocked and clean.
  • Support general office duties as assigned.
