Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to lead patient workups, pre-testing and education in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic. You will perform diagnostic testing, triage patient calls, and assist with minor procedures. HIPAA compliance and accurate charting are essential.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 2+ years in ophthalmology, and experience with EHR; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred. Travel up to 50% across Los Angeles/Orange County locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as Ophthalmology Technician preferred.
• COA/COT preferred.
• Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
• Experience in Medical scribing preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work up, educate and follow up with patients.
• Complete medical/surgical histories and diagnostic testing.
• Triage and forward phone calls appropriately.
• Assist in minor procedures.
• Prepare patients for laser procedures or surgeries.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant patient documentation and records.
