Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to handle patient workups, education, and follow-up. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of ophthalmology experience, COA/COT preferred, and bilingual Spanish/English. Strong HIPAA knowledge and EHR experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ Ophthalmology Technician experience preferred.
• COA/COT certification preferred.
• HIPAA rules knowledge required.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with patients, doctors, and staff.
• Communicate pertinent information to patients clearly.
• Complete pre-testing, record medical/surgical history, and diagnostic tests.
• Triage calls and forward to appropriate staff.
• Assist in minor procedures and prepare patients for laser procedures.
• Prepare paperwork for surgeries and document education in patient charts.
