Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners, LLC seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to greet patients, explain procedures, and escort them to exam rooms. You will perform diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry) and document findings in the EMR, supporting physicians throughout the visit.

You will maintain the clinic environment, ensure proper sterilization, and assist with minor surgeries or injections as needed, while upholding HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Entry level with 0–3 years of experience is typical.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during the appointment.
• Record patient information into the EMR accurately.
• Perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Assist with minor procedures and medications as directed by physicians.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
