Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support patient care in a clinic setting. You will greet patients, perform diagnostic tests, and document results in the EMR while maintaining confidentiality.

The role includes assisting with minor procedures, educating patients, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. A high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license are required; COA/COT/COMT eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Eligible for COA, COT, or COMT.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during the appointment.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic tests (acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Enter information into EMR accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with minor procedures, injections, and laser treatments as needed.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post-operative instructions.
• Maintain clinic environment and comply with HIPAA requirements.
