Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support patient care in our clinic settings. You will greet patients, explain the visit, escort them to exam rooms, and perform diagnostic testing before the physician review. You will document notes in the EMR and keep the clinic orderly and sterile.

The role includes travel between Southfield, Shelby Township, and Warren offices and a schedule Monday–Friday with early start times and 8.5-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during appointments.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic testing (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Document notes and update patient charts in the EMR.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment and sterilize equipment as needed.
• Assist with minor procedures and post-operative instructions as directed.
• Communicate delays or changes to patients and de-escalate concerns when needed.
