Retina Institute of Virginia LLC in Richmond is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists, prepare patients for exams, and perform testing such as OCT and visual fields.

Travel to all RIV locations is required; travel time and mileage are reimbursed. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay, and opportunities for certification reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related experience or training.
• Current COA/COT certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter.
• Greet patients promptly and maintain a professional attitude.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies at all times.
• Record patient information and document in EMR accurately.
• Assist with tests and procedures and prepare patients for exams.
