Vitreo Retinal Associates in Florida is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice delivering quality, compassionate eye care. The role requires excellent customer service, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to make independent decisions while traveling to multiple office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
• COA preferred.
• Must have dependable transportation to travel to other offices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform basic lensometry.
• Pupillary assessment.
• Conduct visual field testing.
• Perform imaging including OCT and Topography.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Pre‑operative preparation of patient and post‑operative education.
