Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support patient care in a clinic setting. You will greet patients, explain procedures, escort them to exam rooms and perform essential diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry and lensometry.

You will document findings in the EMR, maintain patient confidentiality, and assist with minor procedures, injections, and laser treatments as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EMR experience preferred (desirable).

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and explain what to expect during appointment.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry).
• Enter information accurately into EMR and update charts.
• Maintain clinic environment and sterilization.
• Document chief complaints, illnesses, and medical history.
• Record eye measurements and perform tests of eye function.
• Apply eye drops to anaesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes.
• Assist with minor procedures and injections in exam/treatment rooms.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post-operative care.
• Protect patient information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
