Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is hiring an Ophthalmic technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice across multiple offices in Georgia. The role emphasizes quality patient care, precise data entry, and efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of ophthalmic/optometric technician experience, be adaptable to travel, and hold a high school diploma. COA is preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops and ocular medications as ordered.
• Enter data into EMR and support patient services.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Prepare patients for pre-operative procedures.
• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments.

We offer various services including Cataracts, Glaucoma, Retina, Family Eye Care, contact lenses, cosmetic, oculoplastic & reconstructive surgery with multiple locations on the south side of Georgia.

We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

Ophthalmic skills include

• Obtaining and documenting patient history
• Determining visual acuity
• Performing automated refraction
• Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
• Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMRPproviding patient services
• Measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry)
• Pre-operative preparation of patient
• Maintaining equipment and instruments
• 2 to 3 years of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience preferred
• COA preferred
• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
• Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
• The ability to recognize inconsistencies
