Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is hiring an Ophthalmic technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice across multiple Georgia locations.

The role requires strong patient service, accurate data entry into EMR, and the ability to travel to different offices as needed. Training and a competitive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school.
• Customer service and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity for exam.
• Perform automated refraction per physician order.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigation as directed.
• Enter data into the EMR system accurately.
• Provide patient services and support to physicians.
• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments.

We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.
This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Ophthalmic skills include

• Obtaining and documenting patient history
• Determining visual acuity
• Performing automated refraction
• Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
• Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
• Providing patient services
• Maintaining equipment and instruments
