EyeSouth Partners is hiring an Ophthalmic technician in Crossville, Tennessee, to support a high-volume eye care practice. The role involves obtaining patient history, performing visual acuity tests, administering medications, and maintaining patient services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops and ointments as ordered by physician.
• Perform office duties and manage data entry into EMR.
• Provide patient services and maintain equipment.
• Travel to various locations as needed.

We offer various services such as Cataracts, Glaucoma, LASIK, routine eye care and a full service optical shop at both offices serving Crossville and Fairfield Glade.

We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and documenting patient history
• Determining visual acuity
• Performing automated refraction
• Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
• Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
• Providing patient services
• Maintaining equipment and instruments
• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
• Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
• The ability to recognize inconsistencies
