Target Optical in Eau Claire, WI is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support doctors and staff in delivering high-quality eye care. You will assist with patient care, exams, and test procedures while ensuring accurate records and a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting exam flow.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including patient history, medication review, visual acuity, motility, refraction, and dilation.
• Performs special testing such as OCT, biometry, topography and retinal imaging.
• Conducts pre-exam testing with accuracy and explains measurements to patients.
• Identifies dissatisfied patients and resolves issues promptly.
• Adapts to various exam scenarios and remains personable.
• Maintains and disinfects equipment and exam lanes.
• Works weekends and evenings as needed to support store needs.
• Adheres to attendance and time-keeping requirements.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains proper dress code consistently.
• Fulfills responsibilities as assigned by the lead technician or ophthalmologist.
