Job summary

Fraser Eye Care Center is seeking an experienced ophthalmic technician to join our team. You will perform diagnostic tests ordered by physicians and manage patient data in our EMR system.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, conducting vision tests, refractions, and tests such as visual fields, OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, iTrace, and fundus imaging. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential. This role involves working at multiple Fraser Eye Care locations in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• COA or COT certification preferred.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work at multiple Fraser Eye Care Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests ordered by physicians.
• Obtain patient's chief complaint, present illness, and medical history.
• Conduct vision acuity testing and refractions.
• Perform tests such as visual fields, OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, iTrace, Optos fundus, and angiography.
• Manage patient data in the EMR.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team in a fast-paced setting.
• Work across Fraser Eye Care locations.
