Job summary

Fraser Eye Care is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our Warren, MI team. You will perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests and manage patient data using our EMR system, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, performing vision testing, and supporting the physician with diagnostic procedures across Fraser Eye Care’s Michigan locations. Team-oriented and patient-focused candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• COA or COT certification preferred.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's chief complaint, present illness, and medical history.
• Perform vision acuity and refractions.
• Conduct ophthalmic diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, iTrace, Optos fundus, and angiography, as ordered by the physician.
• Manage patient data efficiently using the electronic medical record system.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced setting.
