Job summary

Texas Retina Associates seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians at the Dallas Main Office and potentially travel to other locations. The role includes assisting with patient work ups, testing, examinations, and education, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualified candidates have at least two years in ophthalmic tech, a high school diploma, and preferably COA/COT credentials and retinal experience; NextGen and Patient Management familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of Ophthalmic Technician experience required.
• COA or COT certification and retinal practice experience preferred.
• Training in medical terminology required.
• Experience with NextGen and Patient Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and document medical visits and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exams.
• Perform ocular tests and patient work ups.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Travel to other locations to support physicians as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks and coordinate patient information and forms.
