Job summary

Texas Retina Associates in Dallas is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians in the Dallas Main office. You will perform ophthalmic photography and diagnostic imaging, including fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, and OCT, with emphasis on accuracy and patient comfort.

The role requires 2+ years of ophthalmic technician experience, COA/CRA preferred, familiarity with NextGen and imaging workflows, and ability to maintain HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ophthalmic technician experience required.
• COA or CRA certification preferred.
• Experience with ophthalmic imaging equipment and patient management software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and accompany to photo room.
• Verify patient information and document in charts.
• Obtain consent forms.
• Position patients for imaging.
• Capture images using ophthalmic equipment; perform FA, fundus photography, and OCT.
• Identify retina landmarks and correct field selection.
• Ensure proper focus and manage media opacities.
• Monitor patients during imaging and maintain sterile environment.
• Maintain image archiving, databases and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide imaging support for the Clinical Research Department as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for imaging.
• Assist with other duties in the Clinical Department as needed.
