Job summary

Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) seeks a Clinical Research Technician to document and summarize ocular examinations and recommendations while supporting patient flow in a high-volume retina practice. The role uses Nextech EMR and requires travel to multiple clinics with varied hours.

Responsibilities include clinical support, research coordination, informed consent, data entry, and coordinating visits within protocol windows. Strong communication and compassionate patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; biology degree preferred.
• Able to understand and articulate complex concepts.
• Quick learning ability and adaptability.
• Bilingual capabilities preferred (English primary).

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical support during procedures and maintains sterile environment.
• Assists physicians with procedures and checks intraocular pressure.
• Supports consent processes and educates patients about trials.
• Coordinates and schedules study visits within protocol windows and collects data.
• Transcribes study information from source documents to CRFs.
