Professional Eyecare Associates is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support optometrists during patient exams. The role involves documenting medical findings in the EHR, taking dictation, and ensuring smooth patient flow through the appointment sequence.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmic terminology knowledge and clinical basics.
• 1–3 years ophthalmic clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant designation or Medical Scribe certification required or preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Document patient findings in the EHR during exams.
• Assist in efficient movement and flow of patients through the exam sequence.
• Take dictation and assist the doctor with patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms with medications, forms, and educational materials.
• Coordinate special testing with technicians.
• Record patient histories and chief complaints.
• Support contact lens fitting and troubleshooting.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional demeanor.
