Job summary

Eye Health America is seeking an ophthalmic scribe to accurately document ocular examinations and recommendations while maintaining patient flow and clear communication about appointment status. The role supports The Eye Associates in delivering high-quality eye care.

Two years in a medical office and a scribe certification (preferably ophthalmic) are preferred. The position involves assisting during exams and completing checkout and billing steps as directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical office, preferably ophthalmology.
• Scribe certification (preferably certified ophthalmic assistant).

Responsibilities

• Summarize and document ophthalmic examinations, including charting and treatment recommendations.
• Observe patient and physician, and assist during the exam.
• Monitor patient communications and provide written instructions when needed.
• Complete superbill and billing/check-out forms as directed.
• Learn exam requirements for each procedure.
