Job summary

Luxottica seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe to support the Optometrist during patient exams, documenting findings in the EHR and assisting with exam-room workflow in a fast-paced eyecare practice.

The role requires 1–3 years ophthalmic experience, Medical Assistant or Scribe certification, and solid knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and equipment; teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential traits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years ophthalmic clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant designation and/or Medical Scribe certification required.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Document patient findings for the doctor in the EHR.
• Assist in exam room and manage patient flow during visits.
• Take dictation from the doctor and record medical findings.
• Prepare examination rooms with medications, forms, and educational materials.
• Coordinate special testing needs with technicians.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and communicate doctor instructions to patients and referring offices.
