Job summary

Qualifications

• Current COT certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of recent ophthalmology experience providing technical support.
• Experience measuring and recording visual acuity and performing tonometry.
• Familiarity with ophthalmic problems to triage calls and advise patients.
• Knowledge of operation/maintenance of patient testing equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff.
• Ability to develop solutions for quality and process improvement.
• Ability to organize technician work schedules for continuous coverage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and clinic flow.
• Oversee daily back-office operations and exam room readiness.
• Provide technical support for ophthalmologists and optometrists.
• Maintain the perimetry and OCT/topography labs.
• Train and support ophthalmic staff.
• Assist with process improvements and quality initiatives.
• Support special projects as assigned by the Practice Manager.
