Job summary

North Carolina Retina Associates is seeking a dedicated Lead Ophthalmic Technician to join the state's largest retina practice, focused on patient care and clinic efficiency. The role supports the physician in the room, triages patients, and coordinates surgeries.

The ideal candidate has ophthalmic clinic experience, proficiency with OCT/Fundus/FA, and familiarity with charting and referrals. Travel may be required and a strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous ophthalmology clinic or healthcare experience preferred.
• Assist in daily tasks of running a medical clinic.
• OCT/Fundus/FA experience.
• Scribe experience with MDI Intellechart preferred.
• Coordinate surgery schedules and review/edit referrals.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Ophthalmic Technician to join the the largest retina practice in North Carolina, with the most focused approach to patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency of our practice and enhance the patient experience.

Our lead technicians must be able to directly assist the physician in the room, triage patients, and schedule surgeries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to aid in daily tasks of running a medical clinic.
• OCT/Fundus/FA experience.
• Scribe experience, familiarity with MDI Intellechart preferred, but not required.
• Ability to assist in coordinating surgery schedules and reviewing and editing medical charts/referrals.
