Job summary

Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, is hiring an Operating Room Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist). You’ll maintain instruments, supplies and materials for surgical procedures under RN/Physician supervision. This is a Full-Time 40 hours per week role in a hands-on surgical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Complete accredited surgical technology program OR CST certification.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required items (implants and supplies) are in place prior to scheduled operative cases.
• Assist in selecting and assembling instruments and equipment for procedures with aseptic technique.
• Maintain equipment and protect during transport to sterile processing.
• Assist in transporting patients, case carts and equipment before and after each surgical case.
• Assist in OR turnaround and case-cart management between procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens and cultures per procedures.
• Deliver safe and accurate care under the supervision of RN/physician.
