Job summary

OCLI Vision, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Full Time ASC position in Queens, NY.

The CST helps the OR run smoothly, prepares instruments, maintains sterilization processes and supports surgical teams with gowns, gloves, and instrument handling. Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited CST program, knowledge of sterilization techniques, and 1+ year OR experience; ophthalmology training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited program for surgical techniques or provide equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and their appropriate uses.
• 1+ year working in an operating room environment, preferably as a surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare autoclaves and sterilizers daily to spec.
• Inspect OR suite daily for cleanliness and readiness.
• Assist with gowning, gloving and instrument setup during procedures.
• Maintain instrument tables, trays and inventory; support room turnover.
• Assist with stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
