Job summary
A leading eye hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a detail-oriented Operating Room Technician. In this full-time role, you will support surgical teams by maintaining medical instruments, supplies, and a sterile environment. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures, patient transport, and ensuring quality patient care. Candidates must possess a High School diploma, complete an accredited surgical technology program, hold a BLS certificate, and have at least one year of clinical experience. Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Complete an accredited surgical technology program OR hold a national certification (i.e., CST).
BLS Certificate required.
One (1) year of clinical experience required.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all required items are in place prior to scheduled operative cases.
Assist in selecting and assembling instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Maintain equipment and supplies and ensure proper protection during transport.
Assist in transporting patients and equipment before and after surgical cases.
Participate in cleaning and case cart management between surgeries.
Ensure proper handling of specimens and cultures.
Deliver safe and accurate care to patients under supervision.
