Job summary

SightMD is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support ophthalmic procedures in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center. You will prepare ORs, assist surgeons, and ensure sterile technique throughout preoperative and intraoperative phases.

The role requires CST certification, a high school diploma, and a current or pending BLS certification. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification from an accredited school.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Ensure proper function of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and sterile field setup.
• Verify patient and procedure information with the surgical team.
• Pass instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Monitor and manage the surgical field and instrumentation.
• Handle specimens and document intraoperative activities.
• Assist with instrument breakdown and reprocessing.
