Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete an accredited surgical technology program or hold a national certification (i.e., CST).
• BLS Certificate required.
• One (1) year of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required items and supplies are in place prior to scheduled operative cases.
• Assist in selecting and assembling instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and ensure proper transportation to sterile processing.
• Assist in transporting patients and equipment before and after surgical cases.
• Participate in cleaning and case cart management between surgical procedures.
• Handle specimens and cultures per hospital procedures.
• Deliver safe and accurate care to patients under supervision.
